I can't wait for the day when we turn him, Hegseth, and PeeWee Himmler Miller over to the ICC - after we're done with them.
the last time we tried to try fascists, we created things like operation paperclip to to protect them and we would be fools to assume that history won't repeat itself if we ever start trying anyone in the administration -- kissinger was a MUCH worse war criminal and nixon publicly admitted to pointlessly imprisoning and millions of americans for political gain and, yet, they both died rich and peacefully at home surrounded by people who loved him.
Operation Paperclip wasn't to protect general run-of-the-mill Nazis, it was to protect the scientists and engineers who had done all that research that made Nazi Germany the juggernaut that it was. It wasn't to protect architects of the Holocaust, High Command, etc., it was to protect scientific research that was extremely valuable, including nuclear secrets, no matter how it was compiled. Most of those scientists weren't really Nazis, they were just German scientists, doing what scientists do, for the benefit of their nation. It was an unsavory, but necessary post-war step to preserve their important, and extremely valuable research.
But we still tried, and executed many of the real Nazi leadership. Punishing the true shitheads, while confiscating whatever good came out of their atrocities seems like the best outcome of a war.
LOL you're deluded.
Of the millions of german nazis and nazis in their collaborator countries they executed exactly 23 in the Nurenberg media showtrial.
Operation Paperclip was only one of the programs, there were plenty more saving nazis who had no scientific value.
Among them the worst war criminals like Eichmann or Josef Mengele.
And plenty not even important ones too.
1000's of the worst SS troops were evacuated to Canada and got to live their lives under another name.
The US/UK did everything they could to rehabilitate and whitewash nazis.
And succeeded.
Plenty got high positions post WW2.
Exactly like today, the west loves fascism.
You know nothing of history.
First of all, Eichmann and Mengele were NOT part of Operation Paperclip. Eichmann was later captured in Argentina, shipped back to Israel, and executed. Mengele got away, unfortunately, and drowned in 1979, but he didn't escape through Paperclip. Perhaps YOU are the one who knows nothing about history. I have a degree in history, and a lifetime of learning, but I'll admit that I am still learning every day.
Nuremburg tried a relative few, because it mostly focused on the High Command, and most were sentenced to death, but there were thousands of Nazi executions across Germany, following the war. So many Nazis were executed that the actual number is unknown, but it is in the thousands.
Concentration Camp guards and administration were often executed on the spot. The Dachau prisoner riot is famous. Immediately upon liberation, many prisoners beat guards to death with shovels. Allied soldiers began lining up guards against a wall, and shot them.
Many other Nazi soldiers across Germany were captured trying to escape, and immediately executed, following a quick military hearing. A favorite method was a short drop hanging, in which the drop isn't long enough to snap the neck, so the person dangles, and slowly strangles to death.
Some got away with it, MANY did not.
Maybe you should practice elementary comprehensive reading.
Read my comment again carefully:
So no, I never claimed Eichmann and Mengele were part of Operation Paperclip.
I won't go in to the rest of your nonsense.
Others have debunked that abundantly and thoroughly.
I can only assume your degree in history is from a guilty nazi collaborator country (US/UK or Canada)
Rife with the same whitewashing and revisionism.
