There very much are people who view music as background noise and only listen to walmart radio-esque drivel. I remember hearing that an acquaintance listened to "whatevers on the front page of spotify" and has never made a playlist or noted a song/band as better or worse than any other.
I honestly don't get why someone like that doesn't just listen to radio and saves on the subscription cost
My only reason for not doing so is the insane like 20 minute long ad breaks after every 3 songs. Id rather listen to an ai generated playlist than ads
Honestly ads might be preferable to me over Spotify Homepage
