My old PC locks up every 4 to 48 hours. It would make a terrible NAS.
My pc did that when my almost 10 year old SSD with my OS started to die. Switched it out and haven't had an issue since.
How did you determine it was the SSD failing and not another component?
I used CrystalDiskInfo and it gave me a bunch of warnings when I ran it and said the overall drive health was "Bad".
I don't have access to my old PC because I gave it away, would be a terrible NAS replacement.
