It's kind of wild to me that the branding and rollout of genAI become so toxic that we are now having epic national fights and monologues by U.S. senators over…data centers. A decade ago, I feel like nobody ever talked about them outside of "inside baseball" tech/biz reports.
It's also wild to me that even very recently, some jerks were pushing the propaganda that AI ackshully wasn't all that big of an environmental impact. That sure was a smoke screen!
Gotta make that imaginary future money.
