I wish canada cared as much
Dont give up hope. This could get the ball rolling and other countries could follow suit.
I think they do actually. They just showed support for Greenland and has publicly said they are slowly breaking away from trade deals with the US.
Europe is the obvious new partner and both sides would benefit alot.
Canada is for sure also looking at the tech side. And with the open source approach from the EU, they too can benefit.
I want Canada to be a contributor not just a consumer of Europeans tech products. Big tech projects including open source financing should have been part of Carney's nation building projects in my opinion
FWIW last year was the first year I’ve ever had website clients specifically request to be hosted in Canada. Word is getting around that the traditional tech stack is more precarious than once believed.
From Canadian clients or clients outside of Canada?
Canadian clients are wanting Canadian service providers more often.
