I'm sure you were being snarky, but just for fun I quick and dirty mathed it out. If you figure total compensation for each worker ends up being $100k on average*, and multiply it by 300,000 workers, and divide it by 340,000,000 people in the country we'd be looking at almost $90/person/year. Yaaaaay 🙄
* being generous on that guesstimate. More than likely the real number is a bit lower which proves my point even more, but if it's higher it's probably not that much higher.
That's weird the same amount is being taken out of my paycheck for federal taxes. I thought doge was here to save us money?
Sorry your income doesn't qualify for tax reduction. Have you considered being rich?
They are probably all the DRP folks that are dropping off the rolls (some in September, some in December). You’ve been paying their salary this whole time to not work.
Wtf are you talking about
I’m talking about all the people who took the deferred resignation program. WTF are you talking about?
So 10% of all federal employees outside of military service. And based on historical data, this will translate into a 6 million job loss in the economy (as their spending will have to drop due to unemployment and the businesses that they purchase goods and services will have to make cuts and recursively down the line)
But think of all the tax cuts for rich people!
Also in the delusional minds of Libertarians and conservatives, those 300K people didn't have "real" jobs, so they don't count those as job losses.
Where did they go? Are they all employed?
thats going to affect unemployment numbers in the wrong way
If the Trump regime says 300k, the real number is closer to 800k.
He has fired multiple people because they reported accurate numbers that made him look bad.
Considering how many ice workers have been added i assume that means ill get my 2025 tax return in the next administration
Gonna be hard to collect and calculate all of those tariffs without a huge expansion of the number of federal works.
