"RE" and "CAN" are silent... The way they like their children.

Well, "Quisling" refers to a Norwegian army officer and politician named Vidkun Quisling who collaborated with the Nazi German occupation during World War II, or, more generally, the term has come to mean a traitor who collaborates with an enemy. After Germany invaded Norway in 1940, he established an illegal, Nazi-backed government, which led to his name becoming synonymous with treachery after he was convicted of treason and executed in 1945.

How about that, seems pretty fitting...

Oh god…. This isn’t satire

Yes, unironically. This is the first time where I really thought, ok this is too dumb, even for him. All the other instances I could still imagine him doing that in his narcissism combined with his stupidity.

I think he’s suggesting those words as the replacement which is just as bad because they are the worst suggestions. “Trumpublican” is right there and strokes his ego.

It makes me feel very low to think about this but there is little doubt that he has completely changed and taken ownership of the Republican Party, and is likely define it for decades to come. Like Ronald Reagan did. Trump has done it all in the lowest, most despicable way, and his ego is boundless, but objectively, his brand has been extremely effective. Any one of us here would LOVE to go out and reshape the Democratic Party with as much success as Trump has with his.

Oh, I am not questioning the content of this message, but it's style.

To write: there is a new word and then to seriously ask directly after what that word is... Is stupid, even for him.

That he managed to reshape the Republican party in his way is undeniable.

You’re right that is demented in a way only he can achieve. Though he might just be asking what the spelling is as both his examples are homonyms.

He’s got this childish obsession with “what’s hot” and “what people are talking about” and he thinks we all do. He’ll offer some gen like this one with little bites of social proof like “everyone’s talking about it” like that should be enough to convince us of its veracity and importance. Just so dumb.

I especially liked how he said that there was a new word for Trump Republicans, but then he had no idea what the actual word was.

I thought that was significantly stupider than average for Trump, and wondered whether the quote was made up. Guess not.

Those pedo accusations trigger something in certain people that is both repulsive but also quite interesting to see. People who spent decades equating homosexuality with pedophilia while spouting death threats at men/boys who showed any interest in their teenage daughters -- now suddenly are well-educated on the various nuances and caveats of adults having a proclivity for sexual activities with minors. It's not pedophilia if she's had her period. It's legal in Alabama if the parents consent. Juliet from Romeo and Juliet was 13.

Gross. Gross. Gross. But also not surprising in the least little bit. They are the people who think about gay sex more than the gay people actually having said gay sex. So, it just makes sense that they're also the ones raping minors and/or supporting rape.

He's really, really losing it. This would be funny if he weren't destroying the country in the meantime.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 21 points 1 week ago

The word is TRAITOR.

[–] OpticalMoose@discuss.tchncs.de 15 points 1 week ago

Same PR firm.

[–] frezik@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 1 week ago

Guys, I'm starting to think Trump isn't completely right in the head.

Nah, Daleks are actually competent.

[–] Madrigal@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

Republicans.

Don’t need a new word. He owns them all, and they all vote for him.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I think this one is more fitting

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago
[–] saltesc@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Yeah, because Trump and the idea of a republic are so aligned.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Can he not see the obvious moniker?

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I keep saying that most are vastly underestimating the depth of his dementia. Money says his handlers only allow him to be seen when he's having a good day.

Yes, what we're seeing is Trump as on top of his game as he will ever be. When we're not seeing him, he's worse.

[–] LordMayor@piefed.social 2 points 1 week ago

That’s what I thought. Maybe, he’s being coy and fishing for someone else to suggest it? But, I don’t think he’s that clever.

[–] QuentinCallaghan@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 week ago

"TEPUBLICAN" sounds like "Tee-publican", which is a throwback to the Tea Party movement, in many ways a precursor to MAGA.
