Why are nicotine patches illegal in Canada?

Patches are (usually) not illegal, pouches are. For what I know, they are only legal in the Nordics. I've heard the are much worse than cigarettes (or so said medics and dentists). You place the pouche between your gum and upper lip and your body absorbes the nicotine. It's much more "efficient" than smoking.

Seems less stinky and less gross than cigarettes and loose tobacco. Also less electronic waste than disposable vaping. Less lung cancer probably, but not sure about oral cancer.

True. For us -non nicotine users- the advantages are plenty! Sometimes It took many, many months to learn a co-worker uses them. But .... Imagine it's impact when medics rather have you saying yes to smoking than to using snus (as the pouches are called here)

They are not illegal. But can only legally be bought in pharmacies.
