Yes, people, including children, are being disappeared to concentration camps but the real victims are the white suburban moms privileged enough to offload their snot nosed brats to other people now being forced to take care of their spawn themselves. Those are the people we should feel bad for, surely.

While there are obviously bigger problems, lots of single moms depend on childcare. Childcare being less affordable isn't exactly a non-issue.

It's not a matter of inconvenience but a requirement, because women in the workforce are punished for having children. Most are forced to leave their kids at daycare so that they can go to work to support their families.

Of course we should talk about the suburban white moms and how ICE is affecting them

Everyone draws lines between themselves and the victims... Unless you have the wisdom to realize there is no line. But the vast majority, even ones with empathy for the victims, will never understand that

So yes. We should be highlighting all the ways we are connected to the victims. We have to chip away at this idea that you're safe because you're a white suburbanite

We're all connected. When they throw Maria in the van, your child loses a caretaker. When they raid buses, they're stealing food off your plate.

They are attacking you when they come for your neighbors. That's where you have to get people to mentally

Because where's the line now? It's between us and the government actually doing the thing
