By my count, we should be able to do at least cuarenta y nueve leches. Are we even trying?

If we count whole, 2%, 1%, and skim as 4 distinct leches, what’s to stop us from creating a gradient of leches ranging from 0% to 3.25% milk fat?

That's a good point. It seems to be an infinite series that should converge on one value of leche. If we solve for that, we should be able to make the ultimate torta de leche, which, paradoxically, is made with only one supreme leche.
What about condensed milk or powdered milk? Do they count as distinct leches as well?
Definitely dinstinct leches. Also plant milks: almond, oat, coconut. Coconut cream should also count IMO. Then there is condensed coconut milk as well.

The "Cuatro Leches" is like the jackasses on The Price is Right who, seeing you've bid $500, bids $501.
Jackasses? Sir, that's just good strategy. What would you do? Bid $650, just to be sportsmanlike? The Price Is Right is serious business, you either go for the throat or you go home empty handed.

Dumbass eastern european here - what is Tres Leches?
To be even more specific, it's a Mexican dessert made of sponge cake, soaked in a mixture of three milks. Wet cake may not sound appetizing, but it's absolutely delicious.

In addition to the other comment, it means "3 milks" literally.
The tres leches appears to be leaching one of its leches. The quatro leches has no problem holding all of its leches, even though it has to hold one more. How are these the same price?

Loads of latin countries have tres leches. I prefer the Caribbean ones.
They should be. I have never seen them anywhere in my neck of the woods, but I did find a vape juice that's "Tres Leches" flavored. It's pretty amazing.
