A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.
AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

Uh oh, I know a company who uses chat gpt for translations, and they don't have staff to proofread non English languages...
name and shame
Couldn’t be happier to know all the assbags that use that shit are going to be irritated a hell now.
Gonna go ahead and guess that the ads are not going to be transparent. It will just push you to a prefered brand when you ask questions about related product. It's gonna become less useful.
Not only ads on free either, ads on their new lowest paid tier chatgpt go.
lol. They’re not even a public company yet. They’re going to run out of runway with VCs.
Lets set up some scripts that prompts chat gåt with so many calculations they wont be running next year
I know multiple people who are, unfortunately, quite into AI and ALL of them have said chatgpt sucks. The one with the creepy AI browser seems to be the crowd favorite (Claud maybe?)
Claudes the favorite. Opus 4.5 is the only one worth a damn. But it's EXPENSIVE ASF to run. I really dont see a universe where this tech continues to be so wide used unless the solve this problems.
It's like a shitty intern. I can't even imagine the full operation cost. I wouldn't pay whatever it is for nothing but a shitty Intern.
Sounds like they were expecting Moore's law to kick in for AI compute costs and it never did.
Yeah pretty much everyone is scrambling for some sort of efficiency increase in the hardware or the models. It's my opinion that the ability of the LLMs is going to hit the top of the S curve soon. Then they will start experimenting with different model strategies etc. that's when things will really get scary.
This means pharmaceutical ads, I'm sure
He did similar with sexy chat bots but did that also.
