I want Mamdani to win, and I want any Democrat who was trying to block him to lose their jobs.

It is almost impossible to find a business leader who thinks Mamdani would not be highly destructive to the interests of the city.
It's impossible to find a business leader who gives a shit about "the interests of the city" at all.
The only thing they care about is their own undeserved privilege. They pretend that that's somehow "the interests of the city" because they're psychopaths, so to them, they are "the city" and nothing and nobody else counts.
And yes - Mamdani is a threat to their undeserved privilege. And that's as it should be.
We finally get a true Progressive candidate, and the Establishment Democrats' true colors come out.
Yeah seriously this shows a horrifying degree of brainworms.
Cuomo would be a massive disaster in NYC and Mamdani is a once in a generation firebrand who can actually defend Democratic principles without running away from it like a coward like 99% of elected democrats do.
Mamdani is the next Obama. He's savvy, smart and says all the right things. If he hasn't yet been coopted by the corporatists, he soon will be. I'm just saying manage your expectations.
I think AOC is a better point of reference here, while Obama tapped into the same vibe he never had the commitment to progressive policies in the same way.
Of course that is easy to say in retrospect but Obama had a much different trajectory into politics than Mamdani.
I think your warning is good though, as someone who was largely influenced by Bernie Sanders I genuinely find inspiration from his emphasis in his runs for president about it really being about the platform and policies not about Bernie Sanders or any one particular leader.
I am sure being a politician there is a good chance Bernie is narcissistic but I have always believed him when he emphasizes that he is just the guy trying to get the policies, the actually important bit of politics passed, and I took that to heart.
If Mamdani loses it will be dark though, not because I hinge any future on Mamdani winning but rather because of how hopeless it will reveal US politics to already be if he loses to Cuomo or is blatantly thwarted in winning by an immense amount of money hostile to the humanity of the poor and downtrodden of NYC.
That's some corporate & billionaire propaganda right there.
Somebody throw a sandwich at this asshat.
his extremely left-leaning policies
Which are what?
Affordable housing, groceries, and transportation.. What a monster
Once again, conservatives convincing me I like socialism despite 50 years of telling me that it's bad.
Based on long experience, anything conservatives oppose is probably good for me.
50? Oh, my sweet, summer child
Haha.... I only have as many years as I have.
Is that our new "it is what it is"? 🤔😜
Clearly some sort of hate-filled demented fascist who will round up non-criminals for the alligator camps
So much extremism.
Newsweek is a rag, and this editor is just another aristocrat with an irrational fear of losing even 1% of his fortune, which of course wouldn't impact his lifestyle in the slightest. What they actually detest with every fiber of their being is being held to account by people they believe are beneath them.
Lol. Dafuq outta here. He's the most popular NY candidate in decades.
But iT’s TiMe tO gEt SeRiOuS !!?!
So get serious about going over to Fox and posting this dumb shit. Have a great time.
You can post on Fox now? Weird.
Fuck off, shill.
What if I told you I don't want to stop Mamdani? 🤔
I think, even in a 3 way race, either:
Mamdani/Adams/Republican or:
Mamdani/Cuomo/Republican
He's going to be hard to stop. Adams and Cuomo both have too much baggage to be viable candidates, and the Republican is... well... Republican.
The Corporate Democrats will split their vote, the minority Republicans will vote Republican and that's it.
The only way Mamdani loses here is either by cheating, or for the corporate Democrats to pull BOTH Adams and Cuomo and back a new popular candidate without the scumbag history.
But I don't know who could do that, whoever it is would have to do it secure in the knowledge that the only reason they are being elevated is to block Mamdani. Someone like Jon Stewart would get the vote, but doing it to take out Mamdani would make him feel filthy, he'd never do it.
Would fucking over Mamdani make Jon Stewart feel more filthy than pinning a medal on a Nazi? Or how about giving a tongue bath to two war criminals (Hillary and Condoleezza)? Jon Stewart isn't the hero we thought he was.
he only way Mamdani loses here is either by cheating, or for the corporate Democrats to pull BOTH Adams and Cuomo and back a new popular candidate without the scumbag history.
Or Trump grabs control of NYC and installs one of his idiot stooges in Mamdani's place.
Many major interest groups in New York believe a Mamdani victory would be disastrous
Disastrous for their interests, that is.
Mamdani really should distance himself from the "globalize the intifada" comments -- that is an unveiled call to violence against the international Jewish community -- but in the end I seriously doubt that the Mayor's office will do anything that negatively impacts the Jewish community in NYC. Mamdani is just virtue signaling.

What do they think Mamdani is going to do, exactly?
He's already distanced himself from globalise the Intifada, they just keep moving the goalposts on him .
