This should be in the charter. Food and shelter should be a right (for all humans, not just Canadians). A basic income will give back dignity to a lot of fellow sufferers out there. Sure, some will abuse it, it's capitalism after all, but a well managed delivery system will reduce that. Good luck for all! Just to add...I worked for my money all my life. A wage slave, nothing more. I do not care if this privilege was not given to me at the time but am still glad others would benefit from it.

This would really help me go back and live in Canada again. My wife and I have been planning to for the past decade but can't afford to unless we both have jobs lined up. Also, there seems to be a new crisis every year lol
