Wait, are they trans?
And is deadlock worth playing solo? I played for a bit in early access but couldn't keep enough friends interested to stay long term

Oh never mind, definitely trans.
They want to steal her 'horn'? She hides her true identity from all but her friends?
Unicorn is silly for me personally, but, hey, they've got a gargoyle and a blob and everything else, who am I to complain about character design
Good points lol.
As for the game itself; well, I suppose I enjoy it more often then not. I mean, I keep playing it despite some truly distressing interactions. I do use the mute button quite liberally, and have abandoned matches because I'm just not in the mood to deal with that sometimes, mute button or no. Still, I keep coming back because more often then you'd think I have a truly wonderful experience with both teams actually having fun and enjoying themselves despite losing. Those kinds of matches aren't that rare, though of course the most common is when no one says anything except with the voiced pings, which maybe I should be thankful for.
There are also the balancing and matchmaking issues which can make some matches a total slog because you get absolutely stomped by really high ranked players. Sometimes you're on team that's doing the stomping though, and you just basically do nothing all match. I hope it these are fixed soon, but who knows.
Ah, this reminds me the game Celeste. The game kind of hints the main character (Madeline) is trans, with then word of the dev (who's also trans) confirming it.
Anyway. That's a good way to detect bigots before they cause you trouble.
