Interesting that someone could look at a normal (albeit unpleasant) veterinary procedure and immediately think of beasiality.

"Normal" in the context of industrial agriculture... Which has existed for less time than beastiality (source: idk might have made it up but it seems likely)

“omg thats so cool, can i bring my kids to watch and maybe they can try?”

Context is everything. "The Bible: In the Beginning" (1966) contains a long fully nude Adam & Eve scene, but schools were encouraged to send kids to see it. My school did. But nudity in movies was very rare in 1966 and such a scene would normally have been prohibited by government censorship if not for the biblical framing.

Vegan milks are nice to drink, but they are very very different to real milk. Having tea with oat milk is a sacrifice (almond and coconut are worse for tea - they lack the sweetness that counteracts the bitter elements of tea), it doesn't taste as good but it's ok. It's a small sacrifice to make, but a persistent one (given that many of us rely on caffeine to function at work).

There is a moral argument to be made, and the moral argument has the high ground if you avoid looking too carefully (nothing in life is simple).

The real crux of the vegan argument is "can people also sacrifice this", or is it one sacrifice too many in the world of compromises we endure. That's a personal choice, and given the state of the world today, it isn't one many will be able to make.

That's why veganism should be forced on people (just shutting down factory farms would drive up meat prices so much it might be enough)

It's fucked up how people here only seem to have an issue with the cow getting artificially inseminated. The bulls can't consent either. Just like with humans, people either don't concern themselves with male consent, don't think sexual abuse of men matters nearly as much as when it happens to women. I don't really have an opinion on artificial insemination, I just found it fucked that this misandrist double standard is so strong it even extends to animals.
