I wish we's just pick standard time. This whole "let's let noon be at non noon" thing is bizarre.
What do you mean?
We could all switch to UTC, instead of having timezones. Timezones are just political. China has 1 time zone, while France has 13.
Oh, I agree with that, for sure, but this is a "one thing at a time" kind of endeavor.
I've been to France a few times, I don't recall having to change time zones?
You must be joking... Those are territories all over world. Surely you could have clarified by saying "France and its territories"? Thanks for wasting my time.
It was pretty obvious, because the UK has 9 time zones doing the same thing.

I wish people listened to science instead of their opinion. Standard time is demonstrably healthier.
Do you have links to studies? Genuinely curious. I've mainly heard the justification for permanent DST in Canada is that we're far enough north that we'd benefit from extra sun in the evenings during winter.
