Why are we wasting so much money trying to steal from legal gun owners, is there a problem with legal guns being used in crime?

As far as I was aware its bad vetting for immigration thats causing most of the problems, as they couldnt keep up with the mass immigration we did, as their budgets werent increased.

You may benefit from getting a little MORE aware. You're parroting some Polievre, there. 1st-gen immigrants are very law-abiding in general.

As for the 78 individuals under investigation, RCMP Assistant Commissioner John Brewer told CBC News that an “inordinate” number are foreign students.

Am I reading this wrong? Perhaps my reading comprehension is bad, but I didnt think so.

So how much provincial power scope creep will be allowed before Carney steps in and does something? (Or the next PM, but Carney in particular seems well placed to do so gracefully)

There is a provision in the firearms act that allows people to posses prohibited firearms if they’re in an agreement with the province.

The Runkle Of The Bailey post I made yesterday explains it in great detail, essentially the Commissioner that Saskatchewan is appointing is entering in an agreement with firearms owners where people maintain possession of their firearms until they’re paid in full, once they’re paid they must dispose of their firearm in accordance with the law.

Thank you for the explanation!

In theory, no. They seem to be testing that.
