Just want to take a moment to appreciate the creativity within constraints.

This person carries the spirit of bobby tables within them

Limit testing the highest pressure situations on the highest earning individuals.

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 26 points 4 days ago (1 children)

They allegedly perform well under pressure.

[–] FrowingFostek@lemmy.world 10 points 4 days ago

Let's find out! 🪨

[–] WereCat@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

When you put “can work under high pressure” on your resume

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 37 points 4 days ago (3 children)

This is an ad. The “bRaNd GeTs sLamMeD” is just the shittiest viral marketing technique from the 2010s. Do better, lemmy.

[–] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 16 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Don't worry, I still have no desire to purchase pepsi. This post has left me entertained yet unmoved.

[–] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago (3 children)

When I drink Pepsi it's always just after I've asked for coke.

[–] MTZ@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

That's the saddest thing I've read all day. 😭

[–] jim3692@discuss.online 1 points 3 days ago

Pepsi's taste is superior to Coca Cola

[–] GreyEyedGhost@piefed.ca 1 points 3 days ago

"I'd like a Coke."

"Is Pepsi okay?"

"It will have to do."

Or

"Do you have Dr. Pepper?"

[–] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 8 points 3 days ago

Petition to rename the beverage "Annie's boobs"

[–] PlaidBaron@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago

Oh no! Low quality posts in a shitposting community? Not on my watch!

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 47 points 4 days ago (3 children)

12k likes for an inane corporate ad post? Gotta be mostly bots.

[–] taiyang@lemmy.world 14 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Not just likes but also... whatever threads calls a retweet. What human being freely echoes an advertisement? Lol

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 9 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

"Uh... Khakis?"

"Liberty biberty."

"Make 7, UP YOURS!"

[–] KairuByte@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 4 days ago

You don’t think there are 183 people out there that would repeat a brands advertisement? O.o

Honestly I’d think it would be higher.

[–] BarbecueCowboy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It is incredibly easy to buy likes / posts / etc, if it was entirely bots, that's only like $50.

Kinda worrying that you can push basically whatever narrative you want very cheaply on any social media.

[–] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I am sincerely curious, can you please explain specifically how to purchase 29,000 bot likes

[–] BarbecueCowboy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I feel like I'd break a rule somehow if I explicitly linked you to it, but literally just google exactly what you just asked me.

You'll even get reviews / people talking about the best ones to use.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Yeah, I did this to win a social media contest back in the day years ago. Bought like 1,000 likes and it worked like a charm. They just appeared within a few hours. And that was more than a decade ago.

[–] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

How much did the thousand likes cost?

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

It's been a long time, but I want to say it was like $30? No more than $50. Low enough I paid for it out of pocket despite making nothing.

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 8 points 4 days ago

Sometimes if I really like a reply, I'll like/upvote/whatever its parents so the reply gets more visibility.

It's provocative, it gets the people going!

[–] CosmoNova@lemmy.world 36 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Yeah but you still bought the blue checkmark, though.

[–] usernameusername@sh.itjust.works 15 points 4 days ago (1 children)

That's threads not twitter

[–] CosmoNova@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Paying $14.99/month to Zucciberg corp isn‘t that much different than paying it to Edolph.

Oh I wasn't aware you also have to pay for it on Threads. Dunno what I was expecting from the Zucc

[–] daggermoon@piefed.world 15 points 3 days ago (3 children)

Put them in a submarine under an ocean of blood.

Wasn't expecting an Iron Lung reference in this thread 🫁

[–] zergtoshi@lemmy.world 10 points 4 days ago (2 children)

How much is that in football fields?

[–] Opisek@piefed.blahaj.zone 7 points 4 days ago (1 children)

At least 3 burgers squared

[–] zod000@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 3 days ago

The American measurement system is so gloriously random it puts Calvinball to shame.

[–] mkwt@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

120 giga-grand-pianos-per-football-field.

[–] huquad@lemmy.ml 5 points 4 days ago

Can I get that in number of elephants standing on my chest?

[–] Dozzi92@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

I never even thought of calling 1000 kilopascals a MEGAPASCAL. Haven't dealt with physics or anything since the cup of coffee that was my college career, so I don't exactly go around using it, but I love it. I just love it.

[–] neatchee@piefed.social 10 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Your shitpostid is in the format of a North American phone number, with an area code in Quebec.

Nothing implied by that, just couldn't help but notice.

Vive la resistance!

[–] krisevol@lemmus.org -3 points 3 days ago

When is we did that, almost nothing if value would be distributed to the average person.

[–] Jessica@discuss.tchncs.de 0 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Technically they dropped the E in Pepsi

[–] darkdemize@sh.itjust.works 53 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It's at the end of "more."

[–] Jessica@discuss.tchncs.de 12 points 4 days ago

Oh you're absolutely right! 10 out of 10 post
