An F-35 got hit by an Iranian missile yesterday. A TWO TRILLION DOLLAR project to create a jet that should supposedly be unassailable, got fucking clapped. Iran said it was shot down, US sources claimed it was severely damaged and had to do an emergency landing.
The US has no universal health care, crumbling infrastructure, a society in decline, and all for what? To just hand a bunch of cash to the ruling class through defense contracts, that's what for.
If the USA would but 20% of the money in drones and the rest in health care the army would be exactly as effective and the people would be mucht healtier.

I still don't know how to articulate the feeling I get seeing my country in decline but also seeing the world rearrange itself in a way that is probably healthier long-term as it happens. The Germans don't have some long frankenword for simultaneous relief and deep unease at the same time, do they?
