Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Rules

  1. If you post images with text, endeavour to provide the alt-text

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

You think they won’t just get in their private planes and go without permission?

It’s not like the give one flying fuck about the law to begin with.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 12 points 1 month ago (5 children)

It would be like having no street lights and everyone being giant douches that think they should be able to go whenever they want. It would end poorly for some.

[–] _chris@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

I like the idea of putting billionaires into unregulated pressurized vessels.

[–] Sculptor9157@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 month ago

The pilots are more cautious than that and would fall back to their earlier experience on airfields with no permanent tower. You communicate on the local frequency with your intentions, keep your head on a swivel, and daydream about depressurizing the cabin.

Talk about a sacrifice I am willing to make!

Feel like drones with no human in the loop are a better bet

[–] underisk@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yeah what kind of dumbass would willingly do stupidly selfish shit that will certainly bring doom to themselves and others but might, if they're lucky, make sure they get a better outcome than everyone else?

[–] DebatableRaccoon@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 month ago

Bob, I'll take 'business executives'.

[–] AllNewTypeFace@leminal.space 5 points 1 month ago

That’s where the People’s Air Force comes in

[–] meowmeow@quokk.au 40 points 1 month ago (2 children)

This is why we have already lost. They don’t store their private jets at major airports. They can just take off from the private one without a controller. The air will be clear of commercial jets.

Hear me out.... Geese. Tons of geese.

[–] meowmeow@quokk.au 17 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That would kill the geese. A million humans aren’t worth one goose.

Just take the ~4000 billionaires on the planet and kill them with bullets. I’d recommend their immediate family as well. If fiction had taught me anything, you never leave loose ends to come back and get revenge.

[–] brem@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Turbine-proof geese, perchance?

[–] meowmeow@quokk.au 14 points 1 month ago (2 children)

So, goose shaped drones? I’ll accept that offer.

[–] brem@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

This is a rather long name, so feel free to make an acronym, but I think we should call it Project: Goose Approximated Personality Integrated Nanobiotical Geese - Artificially Seeking Suckfucks Homeland Officially Learns Eventually

[–] oftheair@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 month ago

We see what you did there.

[–] Sculptor9157@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago

Sphere-shaped geese in a vacuum.

[–] youcantreadthis@quokk.au 2 points 1 month ago

Drones? If no civilians in the air you don't need human in the loop

[–] BradleyUffner@lemmy.world 25 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Small private airfields don't even have towers. They don't need ATC to GTFO.

[–] rosco385@lemmy.wtf 21 points 1 month ago

Reagan already killed the ATC union.

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 12 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Why do you think they all have yachts?

[–] modus@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)
[–] marcos@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

In a few months there won't be enough aviation fuel anyway.

[–] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

You don't always have to file a flight plan. This would mostly stop just commercial flights.

[–] rockSlayer@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The longshoremen unions are the most radically left unions in the country.

[–] smuuthbrane@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

And private marinas exist.

[–] youcantreadthis@quokk.au 5 points 1 month ago

Their boats mostly aren't fast and are famously large.

[–] Rozauhtuno@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 month ago

Orcas are on our side tho.

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Private planes don't need air traffic controllers.

[–] FrowingFostek@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Patco? I didn't know they were still around.
