Yes, but Democratic politicians don't care about voters. They believe they're owed your vote, by virtue of being slightly less bad than Republicans.

Plus, all that sweet, sweet AIPAC money. And everybody in Washington knows (whether it's actually true or not) that it's money that wins elections, not votes.

In my boringly crushing experience of being subjected to the bullshit of the US for my entire life I would estimate that probably around 30% of people (leaning heavily white and male) in the US are clearly authoritarian rightwing fascists and genuinely do not want a Democracy.

It is not a majority, but it is a terrifying amount.

There are many Joe Biden types here in the US who could care less about the humanity of Palestinians, though mercifully they are significantly outnumbered by more normal well adjusted humans.
