In parts of Texas, this will work.

In ~~parts of~~ Texas, this will work.

FTFY.

Austin, Fort Worth, Houston, and parts of Dallas are the outliers. They're not the rest of the state.

Sadly.

But the trend is towards purple. Good to see a state in play. Good for the state, good for the country.

We must be optimistic that the cancer will be gone. Just keep cutting away.

Call me naive, but the second-favorite candidate of Donald's supporters was Bernie.

I see some hope for something positive.

Though I'm not an accelerationist. I don't want to see things get worse before they get better.

I believe as a whole, people are turning away from this shit. My fear is no one will step up and lead afterwards.

Ppl need to run locally. The fear though, is your past. Are you strong enough to face it?

This is the problem of our age. Palantir can dig up dirt on me, you, anybody. Or just make up a lie (eg Swiftboaters For Truth). Will liberals (much less progressives) vote for us anyways? Can we forgive someone who stepped out of line?

I’m watching Graham Platner’s campaign with interest.

I feel Graham will be fine. Now say in 20 years Kayne tried? The outcome feel different. Ilhan? 0%

Forgiving and truly accepting all is the real issue.

Doesn't matter the machines are rigged in Texas. Paxton wins because machines are rigged in favor of Republicans. Only reason they keep "winning "

I hope I am wrong and that Paxton gets beaten but not holding my breath.

I hope he beats that corrupt fascist he's running against.

[–] FabledAepitaph@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Wouldn't be surprised if it works on account of most Republicans being dumb prejudice pieces of shit tbh

Y'know, I never thought the GOP would openly support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I mean, what better way to show support than to give them a candidate in Talarico to rally behind by calling him a slur? Not just that, a candidate who is closer to Jesus than the GOPedos could ever dream of.

Good lord do we need a better inclusive name for the community…
