Fuck AI

"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.

AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

I have no idea what these people with the 100x productivity are seeing, and for some reason I'm trying to reach to this level. Am I the stupid to follow this?

Ps.: Just to be clear, I'm not a hater of AI, just a hater of the AI companies.

I don't get it.
You mean because I added in multiple communities?
Or because this is the second post in the Fuck AI from my blog?

If you want to engage with the lemmy community, you can post your content and questions directly on here. Otherwise it feels like self-promotion - like you're trying to drive traffic to your own website for some ulterior reason.

Either post content directly in relevant communities or make a community for your blog posts and only post them there. Spamming them through different communities is self-promotion.

Either you want to engage with people in the fediverse or you want to promote your blog. Trying to both at the same time looks you’re just trying to drive traffic from the fediverse to your blog. People will assume it’s for ad revenue.

Idk, the author actively participates in discussions by others and doesn't seem to advertise anything. I think I'd even like if more authors shared their articles here. Of course, it would be beneficial for the platform if they implemented scripts that automatically linked from the website to fedi discussions of their posts, showed some counters, quotes etc.

Never thought on the integration with the fedi on this level. But considering that this is a "static" page I don't even know if I want to push this on the client side.

Also, thanks for the show of faith. I just wanted to discuss the topic with the perspective of people using the game engine, and AI tooling, (local or not), effects benefits and such.

I was expecting the discussion, and the traffic on the blog is mostly irrelevant. But I like to write to organize my own thoughts, and use this as a starting point on the conversation, but feels like I string a bad cord doing this. So I ask you, was this a bad action?
