Everyone is talking about how bad gopros are? My 11 has been fine. Only overheated once on a hot day. My only other complaint is that occasionally the stabilisation doesn't work.
Their cloud storage is completely shit though, didn't use it even when I had it for free.
My old Hero 7 is going strong. Yes, there might be cheaper options now, but they were strong options at some point at least.
The paradox of a good company and product.
Make a good product with good ownership terms by the customer, and why would there be repeat business?
Sad, but not surprising. I like GoPro, their cameras are pretty nice. But they have not innovated well. And you look at actual users, and it's the same complaints always- camera overheats, battery doesn't last long enough, firmware bugs, unresponsive support.
Then look at the new darling, Insta. Their 360 camera is perfect for creators that don't know what shot they are going to want.
It would be very sad to see GoPro bite the dust, but if they do they've no one to blame but themselves.
It's always great to see shitty companies fail. This will he a great weekend for me.
I had one a awhile back. The videos looked great but battery life was a joke. I remember behind baffled by how un-user friendly it was. For a $400 dollar item it's felt oddly outdated when it was new. I just preferred using my phone.
Again? This is a recurring event with gopro.
Had no idea, but won't miss them. From Hero to zero? Anyway I've been wanting to diy a camera using a Pi Zero or similar. For now I just use my phone.
