They have been doing this with Nest for years. Lots of reports of people saying something random and suddenly getting ads. Say no secrets!

It's sad I never realized how many things have microphones in my room. I wondered all the different ways advertisers can use audio for targeted ads the other day and came across an article recently talking about how the CIA was able to tap into Smart Samsung TVs and spoof the speaker light to not be on. Its a fucking scary world we live in.

Just in my peripheral we have smart TV with mic in the remote, laptop with mic, phone with mic, PS5 Controller with mic, Switch 2 with one and an IR Camera in both controllers, overear Headphones and ear pods both have mics, PC Webcam has one, tablet has one, and smartwatch has one. Like bruh.

Interestingly Zuckerberg used to have a sticker over the camera on computer monitor. He was well aware a decade or so ago.

The pixel line has had dedicated AI chip/functionality for several generations

Yes, but a good chunk of feature updates notate certain features only works on 9 and up or 10 and up despite no apparent reason, at least to myself why it wouldn't work on the 8 series

I need a lot of tshirts with writing, that i do not consent to picture, audio capture, capture of biometrics from me and so on. Maybe here in Europe it may help a little.

Big Brother Google is always listening, and probably would sell anything they've recorded to make a buck.

Maybe a lot of people in 2-party consent required jurisdictions should write in to google to state that they explicitly decline to consent to being recorded by google's bullshit
