I've been buying from Amazon for years. Not sure whether I'll ever be able to cut them out completely, but I have never paid for Prime and I never will. I pretty much only make an order when I have enough in my cart to qualify for free shipping, and I don't mind waiting a week for it. If I need it sooner (rarely) I pay for shipping.
