Fuck AI

"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.

AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

This is jamming up my heuristics. I don't trust anything coming out of Florida , and certainly not when a trump ally is involved. But also fuck Altman.

It's like seeing two school bullies fight each other. You aren't exactly rooting for either of them but each punch gets a cheer. It also keeps them busy. They would probably end up punching someone either way, so it might as well be each other.

I think this is in-fighting as they all struggle for the power vacuum they know Trump is gonna be leaving soon. I hope they both lose

Why just him? There's also Bezos, Musk, Zuckerberg, Trump and plenty others that are nuisances.

Can't kick the whole hornets nest, otherwise people might start acting like Florida is the shithole that it is

Much of the record that Florida's case relies on is against Altman, including Greg Brockman's diary and Tasha McCauley's testimony about a "toxic culture of lying," which came out at the Musk v. Altman trial in May.

Public nuisance? Is that a real legal term? What century is this?
