AI - Actually Indians
(In case it isn't clear, because people thought I was racist last time, this is in no way a bash against Indian people, just the sheer number of times large "AI" companies have turned out to be exploiting that area)

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.
AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

No, you're right. Tesla was using Indians to "self drive" in the past. It's kind of crazy that that's not talked about more.

Isn't Waymo still doing that?

Just came across this comparison recently in the book The Reverse Centaurs Guide to Life After AI by Cory Doctorow (https://www.theguardian.com/books/2026/jun/22/the-reverse-centaurs-guide-to-life-after-ai-by-cory-doctorow-review-the-real-price-of-artificial-intelligence). Highly recommend. Also, I’d be curious to read any books that cover these AI sweatshops.
