And it's funny how much I was like, damn, Wheatley's performance is exactly how ChatGPT would navigate this.

I know it's trained on this stuff, but still, they managed to make the greatest moron who ever lived.

Just droping this here if there are people who want more Portal action: Portal: Revolution

Don't forget Portal: Reloaded if you really wanna mess with your head (and wonder how you beat the first two games with these same puzzle solving skills)

Also, turns out Wheatley wasn't lying about that pit: there really is a three-portal device!

(btw, Revolution (not Reloaded, but it's also good) is extremely fun and legitimately one of the most beautiful games I have ever played. The whole game's aesthetic is "the overgrown theme from the beginning of Portal 2, but if Valve had hired multiple designers just to work on that" and I love it so much)

See also: Portal Stories: Mel for some neat puzzles in the 60s aesthetic, and Thinking With Time Machine for a janky, frustrating mess with puzzles whose solutions you will spend almost as long repeatedly trying and failing to execute as you did coming up with them, but at least it has a cool aesthetic. (The movement replay gimmick is neat in theory. It's like co-op by yourself, except you have to do one half without being able to see what the other half is doing. You just have to trust that you get all the timing and the angles right.)

Oh, and P3TT (Portal 3 with Time Travel), a fanmade Unity game that contains perhaps my favorite implementation of time travel of the three. Shoot your green portal once to record and put stuff in it. Shoot it again to play the recording back. Everything that went in (lasers, cubes, etc) will come back out at the same times they went in. It also has outstanding puzzles.

They are such good fucking games. All of the voice actors were great, JK stole the show but they all had amazing roles. The lore drops in portal 2 were amazing, I actually gasped when the potato responded to cave Johnson and realized what happened. The music is fucking epic, and on top of all of that the game is just plain fun. 11/10 will play again.

This particular screenshot is also very appropriate, because he stole this test and only added the word "test" on the wall. Then called it his own...

All of Portal means both games.

...

Oh. It's you. Never mind then

They're probably referring to the entire series. Otherwise, why would they have used the phrase "all of Portal"?

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So we know they didn't just play some of it?

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

"I played 30 seconds of Portal" isn't much of a post.
