Chapmans has consistently done the right thing. They gave their workers a pandemic pay increase then made it permanent.
I don't mind occasionally shilling for a corp if they treat both customers and the people that make the company what it is right, in tangible and concrete ways.
It helps that their ice cream is fantastic too.

Aldi is best.
I think that's good, Costco is responding positively to workers' pressure and threat of using their leverage. Where most companies respond with union-busting sticks, Costco uses a carrot.
I have been consistently exclusively buying Chapman's since 2024. It is a really great product!
Good for them but also kind of depressing that such an obvious move from a business is an anomaly and not the usual.

Please separate your lactose-free products from your No Sugar Added products. I want to support your company, but what's the point of having your lactose free ice cream if I'm going to have the Haribo gummy bear experience if I eat it anyway?

Hey there are no studies that the dairy trade groups haven't challenged that show growth hormones and massive systematic antibiotic use are bad! I mean, if you can't trust US regulatory agencies who can you trust? /s
Chapman's wouldn't use American cream. They likely sourced things like stabilizers, dyes, sweeteners and flavourings.
Worth it as far as I am concerned.
Isn't Canadian Dairy like way more expensive the the US, or is that just British Columbia?
Yes, Canada gives a lot less subsidies to farmers than the US does so our products are more expensive. We also have higher food standards which increase costs.
Not to mention that the United States allows dairy Farmers to use growth hormones that can pass into the milk. Apparently, American use of these hormones has dropped, but it is still permitted.
