I wanted to try it as a experiment, where a OS s filesystem is just the description of files, and then an LLM actually make them up on the fly. But I am too lazy to do that lol

This is some good satire. And, yes, human memory is not made of "records", it is reconstructed every time. AI models are nothing like human brains, however.
You say satire, but kids developing "magical" compression algorithms were a thing in programming long before LLMs. This exact idea is not novel, even though it was executed quite a bit better by Facebook. i mean, that is how compression works. you can use gzip as a generative language model without modification.
I mean i'm sure there's cloud services that resize your pics to 720p then give them back to you upscaled
