A company known for scraping and stealing copyrighted material is butthurt that someone else is scraping their content. "Do as we say not as we do."
The phrase you want here I beleive is "rules for thee but not for me."
Do as we say, not as we do is also broadly used. No need to split hairs.
Would be horrible if loads of people made independent clones/mirrors of that repo while it's up again
Could you also imagine how terrible it would be if people started also hosting a bunch more nitter instances now it's up? Think of the shareholders!
Seems Xcancel maybe too? It shows a Nitter logo though.
Exit: Iys working, but it redirects to a Nitter clone of some kind with a Nitter domain.
Which is great because it means my DNS redirexts on Twitter links work again.

No, I don't think Nitter works in a way to allow it
