People are reading into this way too hard. This seems like an ad attack which is nothing new on Facebook. As you can target by user preference using: "oh this person from your feed but now naked" to bait a click is classic personalized ad attack. Facebook ads platform needs to be abolished altogether - it's incredibly unsafe.

Very deceiving article title by arstechnica, disappointing.

Nah. They don't get the benefit of the doubt when it's likely that these ads have been reported a lot and still ran as long as they did. Continuing to run ads like this when you get complaints is more than suspect.
