this has been a thing well before “ai” - search for a domain in arin or internic or others back in the day, pass on it, and tomorrow hrm it’s no longer available.
You know for a bunch of highly educated people, it's quite dumb of them to not realize this was going to happen.
That's definitely... an interpretation of things.
For the curious, the problem seems to be that the AI the mathematicians in question were using used their chat logs as training data, and therefore took the same approach they did when confronted with a similar problem.
