Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.

Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.

This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Don't take yourselves too seriously. Serious posts go to !anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com

  1. If you post images with text, endeavour to provide the alt-text

  2. If the image is a crosspost from an OP, Provide the source.

  3. Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

  4. Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

  5. No bigotry whatsoever. See instance rules.

  6. This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

  7. No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

Huh? Is this AI generated? So many wrong details, and I can't even find instances of many of these pictures anywhere.

Can't be talking about the SDLP 1899 1st Central Committee, Lenin wasn't on it, and Stalin was still training as a priest and entirely uninvolved. So I'm assuming it's talking about the Central Committee during the 7th Congress of the RSDLP(b) (ie post revolution).

I'm not great with faces, but on initial inspection, this seems wrong. Firstly, the committee was more than 12 members. Secondly, I don't think everyone here was denounced and/or arrested, e.g.

  • Fyodor Sergeyev (bottom right?) was never denounced or arrested.
  • Mikhail Vladimirsky (middle second from right?) was a deputy Supreme Soviet at time of death. He had a state funeral with honours.

Some of these weren't even on the committee. e.g.

  • Aleksei Kiselyov, bottom row, second from right.
  • Alexander Shliapnikov bottom row, second from left. Also he was arrested, but never accused of being a Nazi spy.

I can't be arsed thoroughly checking it all, (some of them are correct) but god knows it's wrong on way too much. There were a lot of members of the central committee at the time of the 7th RSDLP(b) who were arrested later in their life, but not as many as this depicts, and many of the people depicted were either not on the committee and/or not denounced. If it's just talking about party members who attended that congress (ie delegates and other members), we're talking about thousands of people.

Bottom right is more likely to be Oppokov, same face but that specific angle of an original picture I was unable to find

Middle second from right is Kamenev, hardly got executed by a firing squad with honors

Shliapnikov's inclusion does seem weird yeah, OG creator was probably looking for Tukhachevsky since that would be a more apt match

What about the politburo?

It was because of capitalism though, right? /s
