Can someone help me understand why someone would even do this? Even if i didnt hate ai, what possibly could be the benefit of putting research material into an llm? I cant think of any scenario that makes sense without resorting to they just seriously dont understand how an llm works. Which i guess isnt improbable
I think not understanding how these things work is basically the biggest problem. Even the people who invented them have these magical ideas about them. So the layman is bound to think insane things about their capability. Maybe he thought it would be able to improve it somehow? Or catch a mistake or something? These things are basically plagiarism, disinformation, and praise machines, though.
