Fun fact: a friend linked the trailer the other day. I thought "wow, the acting / directing on this actor playing an absolute fucking nutter is impeccable". I hadn't heard of the film before, so I looked out up. Saw it was about Elizabeth Holmes whose name i remembered but didn't know about. Saw there was a picture of her, thought, "wow, the actress they got to play her is an absolute dead ringer... wait a minute..."
What the absolute fuck?! Did no-one speaking to her realise that she was an absolute fruitcake?
I thought it was a mockumentary at first with an actress playing Holmes. A really similar looking actress haha. The trailer just seemed unhinged enough for it to not actually be her.
Then I read more about it and realized it was actually her.....
Makes me feel better that someone who knows what she looked like could make the same mistake!

That I definitely get, but some of the stuff he does on The Rehearsal is on a different levelβ¦ he doesnβt do anything evil but some of it is a bit more ethically questionable than what heβs done in the past

There is a TV series called The Dropout where Amanda Seyfried plays Elizabeth Holmes and won an award for it. I haven't seen it yet but the trailers don't seem to be able to capture how crazy she seems (like Seyfried seems to be the crazy we're used to seeing; Holmes has a different type of unsettlingness) ... not taking away from Seyfried but Jennifer Lawrence declined or backed out playing Holmes in a movie saying Seyfried's role was enough for this portrayal.
Also, Holmes was saying how none of them were actually playing "her" they were playing an invention she made up ...

I got as far as discovering that nut as in crazy is the earliest and nutter and nut case are derived from it, and nut was (and still is) slang for head, plus the terms nuts and nutty also meant crazy, so it's a fairly obvious step for nut to pick up that definition, too.
