I was asleep when it occurred. My Dad casually mentioned "apparently some plane crashed in new York" over breakfast. Once I got to school, all my teachers were quite grim but had a policy of not talking about it. Wasn't until I got home that when I turned on the TV that I finally understood what happened.

I do. I was a teenager and could tell "there will be a before and after this". I was home from school having my pre-homework snack and boom, breaking news. We had visited New York the previous year. "Mooom! Uh.. the twin towers fell!" "Uh? What are you talking about"
I remember where I was on a lot of days. I dont remember where I was on a lot of others.
The guy is dickhead, but I think him forgetting where he was on 9/11 is the least of the problems. How about him raping children?
This is my most vivid memory of 9/11:
After the attacks happened - in the early morning for me in Utah - I went to work.
There I found all my colleagues chit-chating and just as worked up as I was. But one of them was sitting quietly and simply working.
I went see him and asked him: "Have you seen what happened? You seem strangely undisturbed."
"Yes" he said, "I've seen. And I'm grieving today just as I have been every 9/11 since 1973, when the US helped install a bloody dictatorship in my country. Now you know how it feels too."
He was from Chile.
What he said really put things into perspective for me.
I worked In Moncton NB, we were sent home early to help out at the airport.
I am pretty certain I have a made up memory of it. I remember coming from school and the TV is on and everyone is is shock. But it's in the house I was living since I am 13yo, but I wasn't even 10yo at the time, so it cannot be.
I don't think anything short of him executing members of congress, personally, would get him impeached.
If he killed Sotomayor with an ax on live stream Republicans would make excuses.
And democrats would make conciliatory noises about moving forward.
He knows exactly where he was: wherever it was politically convenient for him to be. His supporters believe in him like Santa clause; it’s more about the meaning behind it than how the operation works. So long as they keep winning (which the goalposts constantly move, in 3 dimensions), the meat and potatoes do not matter.

I'm not sure he understands the concept of truth like normal people. It's not so much that he's always lying, just says what seems like the right thing at the time to make him appear strong and powerful. Like a bad LLM made squishy orange flesh
I remember vividly. I was lying in bed slowly waking up to another work day. As I'm lying there the radio kicked in and I heard something about a plane striking one of the towers. That fully woke me up for sure. So I went out to the living room of my little apartment and turned on the TV. As I'm watching the news cover the smoking tower, the second plane hit. That kind of broke my brain.
But I still went into work, because bills still needed passing. But nobody did any work at our dying dot-com startup that day. Everyone was just fixated in the news, trying to process what the fuck was going on.
I remember saying to the guy next to me, as we're trying processing it all "surely they must have known about this, like the intelligence agencies must have got wind of it?" He completely freaked out at me and went on an incoherent rant at me about his his grandpa fought in WWII and how America was the greatest country ever. He apologized the next day. And I get it. We were all traumatized that day. And traumatized people do and say all sorts of things.
Come on. Time to impeach?
That would be the 30,574th time if lying as a POTUS was ground for impeachment for the orange utan.
That's just his first term. I wouldn't be surprised if he's doubled that by now.
That was first term and I remember a different news agency pegging it at over 36k just for that term. He’s triple that by now.
Pacific Time so it all went down while I was asleep.
I had my TV rigged as an alarm clock set to the local news channel so I'd wake up to News/Traffic/Weather.
TV turns on, I wake up, see a plane crash into a building and I'm like "WTF? What are they doing showing a movie? Where's my news and..."
Then they showed the 2nd plane and I was like "Oh, fuck, we're going to be at war by the end of the day..."
Watched the second tower fall personally, albeit from a distance.
16 and hung over, checked a New Zealand forum and was reading messages about how hearts were going out to NY. I walked out to my brothers friend watching TV and saying check this out. People in NZ knew before me.

I think it's worse than that: he's such a casual serial liar - and his fronto-temporal dementia advanced enough - that he might just have come to believe the BS he made up.
I doubt that. I'm not sure which is worse.
If he doesn't remember, it may be because he's lied about it so much.
Just seems like if you ignored ever other red flag before now, this should punch you in the face!
