A living dog isn't that easy to fool. There is a dead object moving, like a falling broomstick, or any other of the human's toys.

a real dog wouldve been cheaper, and cheaper to maintaine, what happens if the company goes under and you can repair it.
But when you go on holiday, your "real" dog can't be just switched off!
One is a toy, the other is a living creature man.
