Pretty soon we will have to talk to AI recruiter to beg for work. Fucking pisses me off. Especially when just spent hour having said recruiter preaching to me for two Fucking hours about Jesus Christ. Made me almost wish for the AI. Which made me sick to my stomach.
Not related to recruiters, but I got my first AI robot telemarketing call at work last week. It was fairly obvious because Its Voice And Cadence Sounded Rather Like The TikTok Caption Voice Lady but I imagine many less savvy people might be fooled at least briefly. I clocked it by the end of the first sentence of its pitch (wherein its script included lying about someone at our company requesting a "call back" from whatever organization this originated from, which is not something we would ever do in any telemarketing encounter). I asked it, in my best Strong Bad impersonation, if it was some kinda robot. Rather than give a direct answer it responded, "That question is a little outside of my scope," and then sat there silently and did not seem to be able to proceed unless I prompted it by saying something else.
So I hung up. I'd highly doubt these things are providing the ROI people wish they were. The real danger is going to arise if they ever manage to make them convincingly sound like anything other than a robot.

I would probably choose the EFF rather than the FBI.

I think the only option would be to create some kind of worker co-op for people in tech that are against AI tbh, because we can't count on the mainstream companies to do it that's for sure

Yes exactly it was not the job. But he just wouldn't let it go. When kept bringing conversation back to the job. He said not worry you got the job. Which guess was half true, but it was shit and step down for me. Also he lied at first it was you have it you clear come in a do paperwork. But after sleeping on it decided to pass on the job. Was going call in cancel our meeting. Instead get text asking me to interview again but with the company. Should done that just so could tell them what happen. But whatever.

To true, but I ended up passing on that job. I left pretty detailed review with Google reviews. Hopefully it helps someone. I do have interview for Tuesday with another company. Also not ideal to what I lost but see how it goes.

I see job posts on LinkedIn that say they're AI recruiters. They don't seem to have a lot of clicks. Horrible idea.
