For a quarter of a million? Yeah, that’s an appropriate question difficulty.

But jesus christ I can see why the man died of preventable cancer.

He tried to prove alternative spiritual based medicine was legit by using himself as a case study, he didn't seek REAL help until it was far too late.

I can respect that he was genuine in his irrational conviction.

[–] gnutrino@programming.dev 14 points 2 hours ago

He was genuine until it was too late, at which point he took up a liver transplant that could've gone to someone else had he not been an idiot.

yeah thats only about him, so not that bad. didn't he treat his family like shit, too?

[–] hayvan@piefed.world 9 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

He treated everyone like shit. He was a scumbag in general.

I assume hes doing it in the bowel, because that would be the most distressing, but if its in the tank, thats merely upsetting. The article doesn't say which.

It was absolutely A, jobs was a fucking weirdo.

Probably why he died of a curable pancreatic cancer, the selfish fuck chose to treat cancer with fruit and not showering instead of proper medicine, then hopped in the front of a transplant line and got himself a fresh new liver before he died of his cancer. But, before he died he graced us with a quote we could see in the news today:

“In addition, during the past week, I have learned that my health-related issues are more complex than I originally thought.”

[–] FrogCat@piefed.social 1 points 6 minutes ago

Him seeming like a "weirdo" makes more sense when you look at his background. He was influenced by the hippie culture of the 60s and 70s. He travelled to India when he was a young adult and he got into Buddhism. I think all of that stuff inspired him to try things which are unconventional in western countries.

As for what you mentioned about jumping to the front of a transplant queue, yes that's obviously selfish and wrong, if he did indeed do that.

He tried to fight P. C. with apples.

iSoak (not the fun mormon way)

[–] devaly@ani.social 6 points 6 hours ago

all of the above

[–] Gladaed@feddit.org 4 points 6 hours ago

It's soaking his feet. He was a deeply troubled, esoteric person.
