  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Donald Trump was seen with a noticeable layer of makeup on his right hand on Friday as he left the White House, amid ongoing speculation about his health. The 79-year-old is believed to have used makeup to hide bruising on his hand on several occasions since returning to office, but the application appeared particularly thick during his visit to The People's House museum.

"fears"

That's a strange way to spell hopes.

🤞🤞🤞🤞

Edit: JK, I cannot imagine anything so 🍾🥂 good happening here.

Fears of joy.

[–] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 3 points 17 hours ago

Yay! I'll be counting the remaining minutes left on his clock, with optimistic anticipation 😉💀

Fingers crossed!

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 29 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The only fear is that it might take too long.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 14 points 1 day ago

"Too long" as in "why isn't he dead now??"

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

My only fear is that the fascism will get worse when he dies

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 4 points 15 hours ago

Depends on when Ol' Trumpie kicks the bucket. If it's in the next fear years, there's a chance to reverse all the fascism. If it's in 20 years, whole different story.

"I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure."

[–] eugenevdebs@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Nah, I've wished Trump dead almost every day that I could. Let him rot.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I think it's morally okay to wish dangerous fascist dictators dead

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (3 children)

There are very few occasions when I was genuinely happy to hear that someone had died. That only happens with people like Saddam, Ceausescu and the like. When that fucker dies I will open a bottle of champagne and dance in the streets.

No one mourns the wicked

[–] LemmyKnowsBest@lemmy.world 0 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

I still don't understand how he became president when nobody voted for him.

[–] Zier@fedia.io 6 points 1 day ago

I will literally drink Vodka as an ironic celebration.

[–] spaghettiwestern@sh.itjust.works 55 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Personally I think "fears" is the wrong word.

[–] xyzzy@lemmy.today 14 points 1 day ago

"Excitement erupts over Donald Trump's declining health"

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago

You can be afraid that something won't happen.

[–] GuyFawkes@midwest.social 34 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They say “fears”, I say “hopes”…potatoes po-tah-toez

[–] lost@lemmy.wtf 3 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Nah, Vance is going to be worse.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 14 points 1 day ago

It's a trade-off. He's a much more reliable puppet for Project 2025, but the Republican Party is a cult of personality held together by Trump and Vance has negative charisma. I'd take my chances with Vance.

[–] pineapple_pizza@lemmy.dexlit.xyz 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I don't see how. He doesn't have the same grip on the party and thus Congress wouldn't let him get away with as much

Also the state level shitheads are going to be more resistant to him. Anything Vance will do is more likely to require a lot more tit for tat, which while that won't stop him outright it will slow him down and probably stall or stop certain things.

Any reason why they didn’t blend the makeup in?

[–] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 21 points 2 days ago

I bet we can figure out what it really is if he releases the Epstein files.

Suffer and die

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

If it kills him, does it really matter what it actually is?

[–] null_dot@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The question is whether it's going to kill him.

There's a range of maladies common amongst octogenarians which require blood thinners that can make you bruise easily. Some benign others less so.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well, if he has a aneurism, those blood thinners could make the difference between a better future for mankind and his survival.

[–] medgremlin@midwest.social 1 points 5 hours ago

Blood thinners can make minor head trauma that shears the small veins between the skull and the brain a problem. A ruptured aneurysm can kill almost anyone regardless of whether or not they're on blood thinners. The difference is venous bleeding (slow, low pressure) versus arterial bleeding (fast, high pressure).

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

The good lord needs to take his savior and MAGA can drink the kool-aid to catch a ride. Isn't that where they want to go anyways? Go with Trump, God's chosen after all. Surely you'll get in.
