Do people need an app to tell them they're horny?
This is like the old mood ring craze. For starters, they measure skin temperature. Does skin temperature correlate with mood? Kinda. Sorta. Not really. But let's assume they work. Do you need a ring to tell you what you're feeling? Maybe that's a sign in itself that you have a poor connection with your emotional state.
Could they even work as a tool to help build that internal emotional attachment? Assuming they work at all, maybe. I don't think people used them that way. Would the app do any better? Maybe.
the much bigger problem here is the app talking like a fucking clickbait article, if my phone talked to me like that i most certainly wouldn't be horny afterward.

It's a period tracking app. If you feel shitty for no reason and have some mood variation you can check the app, and more likely than not it tells you your period starts in a few days based on historicals. Following period, ovulation, so mega horny. Has nothing to do with guessing mood.

Fair. I will say I've had relationships with women who's cycles have been more level and others who go through major swings, including on the horny scale. So maybe it's just that my exposure to that gives a different context to the meme.
