We'll try to keep shoving it down your throats anyway though.

-Tech companies as evidenced by how many new places it keeps cropping up

Thao, who has been a U.S. citizen for decades, said that as he was being detained he asked his daughter-in-law to find his identification but the agents told him they didn’t want to see it.

Instead, as his 4-year-old grandson watched and cried, Thao was led out in handcuffs wearing only sandals and underwear with just a blanket wrapped around his shoulders.

Videos captured the scene, which included people blowing whistles and horns and neighbors screaming at the more than a dozen gun-toting agents to leave Thao’s family alone.

Thao said agents drove him “to the middle of nowhere” and made him get out of the car in the frigid weather so they could photograph him. He said he feared they would beat him. He was asked for his ID, which agents earlier prevented him from retrieving.

Agents eventually realized that he was a U.S. citizen with no criminal record, Thao said, and an hour or two later, they brought him back to his house. There they made him show his ID and then left without apologizing for detaining him or breaking his door, Thao said.

I wanted C3PO from the AI boon. Instead, I lost my job and was replaced by AI.

Wasn’t that time he mocked a disabled reporter the last straw? Or when he said he could just grab women by the pussy? Or when he tried to blackmail Ukraine? Or when he called a governor to ask for votes? Or when he incited a coup? Or was it when he raped and murdered children with Epstein?

The first veto of the president’s second term killed legislation that would have brought clean water to some of the most conservative parts of the state. Residents wonder why.

Probably because he wasn't bribed to grant the project. Oh well, the tRump voters can die of thirst in that conservative area of Colorado. It's what they wanted by voting for it, and nothing of value will be lost.

So, workers of the world need to unite?

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago

Because the White House and Republicans in Congress want them to. It diminishes the opposition's voting base.

Right? Something more like "Absolutely" or "Unequivocally" would be more appropriate.

Remember when an administration would have to petition Congress for a declaration of war rather than Congress moving to prevent a unilateral invasion/war? You know, like what is in the Constitution? Good times.

I could just imagine some rando touring the White House, and they stumble across him. They start out so excited. Go in saying:

Oh wow! Look at that! It's the president! It's great to me you, President Pedophile. Oh. My mix up. I mean, President Insurrectionist. Oh fuck, slip of the tounge! I'm just so nervous. Ha-ha! President Trump! It's a pleasure to meet the Rapist-in-Chief. Oh fuck. There I go again.

The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is demanding the university turn over names and personal information about Jewish members of the Penn community as part of the administration’s stated goal to combat antisemitism on campuses. But some Jewish faculty and staff have condemned the government’s demand as “a visceral threat to the safety of those who would find themselves identified because compiling and turning over to the government ‘lists of Jews’ conjures a terrifying history”, according to a press release put out by the groups’ lawyers.

Is the mask slipping again?

Two target areas for the Trump administration's immigration enforcement operations announced lawsuits Monday, with one state attorney general admonishing what he called the “unlawful and dangerous tactics” of federal agents.

The courts are going to be so overwhelmed. They're breaking down people's doors without Article III warrants.

ICE agents are living in fear as the public turns against them in record numbers after one of their colleagues shot a mom dead in the street.

Not as much fear as the people whose doors your busting down without a warrant.

Yep! Give up your universal health-insurance for this one time payment. Such a good deal!

The morality of f*cking kids?

A racist, anti-choice, election truther, climate science denialist, Russia stooge, and Trump stan? His family have my sympathies for their loss, but it's hard to imagine that politics in general isn't better off without him.

Every day it is more and more apparent that the Boomer generation has overstayed its welcome. Climate change, plagues, endless wars . . .. The world will be better off when they're finally all dead.
