Can we agree than there should be some kind of compromise? Maybe not prioritize counting beans over everything else?

We're seriously lagging behind as China is ahead of the curve with green technology, mass transit, reducing their carbon footprint by planting trees, etc.

It's time to join the reserves and do some part time service to get ready.

You misinterpreted my comment.

Of course he's limited to Canada. He can change policies, decide to invest in greener alternatives, etc. But instead all he thinks about is counting some beans. So he's investing in what brings profit at he detriment of everything else.

We're so fucked. I seriously have no hope for the future. As long as we elect these politicians that prioritize the economy and deny scientific facts,  nothing will change and it's just going to get worst for the most of us. But those billionaires who are influencing our politics to make those kinds of decisions will be well off, so it's none of their concerns

As soon as we eliminate these billionaires and eliminate the system that allows them to happen, the better off we will be.

The guy is in the big fucking chair. Right now he has the power to steer the future where we want it to be. But he ain't going to do it because he can't think outside the bank. We need someone with more vision and more guts.

Fuck man. This is such a shit situation.

We need new cars NOW. But what we ought to be doing is expanding rail infrastructure and public transit.

Yeah, same with Canada. We have about 430 billion in US debt. Admittedly not as much as Europe, but still a big chunk. And it was Carney that suggested other countries consider dumping this debt if tarifs went out of control.

For desktop apps you'll be fine for the most part. But if you need to install a module for your hardware or some other system software it gets more complicated.

I wonder what conservative talking head J.J. McCullough is saying about Canadian Conservatives who support Trump. What are his thoughts on Conservatives in Canada, knowing they've gone full anti-vax, pro-Trump, Christian nationalist, fiercely anti-LGBTQ+, anti-immigration, and support a genocidal country like Israel.

Though, I'm fairly certain J.J. is pro-Israel. I don't know about everything else.

Ah sorry. I was referring to Bazzite.

When was that exactly? As far as I can remember, it's all that its ever been. Trying to scare people into voting against their best interest and pinning folks against each other at the benefit of the rich ruling class. It's always been like that.

I tend to prefer flatpak over snaps myself. Depends for what.
