good point! an IMSI catcher without MiTM capability would do the trick, you don't need to decrypt traffic to have the intended effect

edit: and if you're trying to decrypt HTTPS traffic sadly the app probably uses cert pinning and thus decrypting it would be hard to do. if it didn't use cert pinning that would be funny
which is ironic considering Meshtastic is better than this shit tbh. VC just hard forked it and set it down the great path to enshittification
I'm using Niagara in the free tier and I'm very happy with it. it's snappy and good looking and I spend so little time hunting through my apps for the ones I need thanks to the favorites section on the home screen. good stuff
