Well, i'm probably not the right person to do that for you lol. I've daily driven NixOS for well over a year, however at the moment i'm actually working on a GNU Guix config in a vm lmao.

I could be wrong but i don't think the wine instances themselves are containerized. Maybe he's confusing it with flatpak sandboxing, since that is the only officially supported way of using it.

So far i've only seen it when looking at gentoo install videos. I've never seen it show up on any of the distros i've used.

Hmm, i didn't know ubuntu was using a different shell. I've used it a few times in a vm. Other than that i installed it on my laptop once like 15 years ago lol.

I never tried anything other than bash tbh. Not sure if i should. I never really looked into what i might be missing out on with a different shell. Bash just works so i never felt like messing around with it.
