This is the classic misconception, that if you make a joke about something, you are not taking it serious.

You can talk about things you or other people struggle with in a joking way and it doesn't take anything away from the seriousness. It might even help to let others understand your struggle.

This is especially a Gen Z thing, they love self deprecating jokes. I see nothing wrong with that personally.

Good point! But I feel like chicken is the one meat that is very easy to replicate taste wise. I had "fake chicken" that tasted identical to the real thing, and that was because of the seasoning. So yeah, chicken may have a subtle taste that is improved greatly by seasoning but the same can be said for tofu or other supplements. And if you use the same seasoning as you'd use for chicken, I'd argue most people would only find a difference in the texture.

But in the end it's all about personal taste I guess.

And 100% agree on your last point, no living being deserves that.

Well maybe our tastes just differ then. A steak I can understand but unseasoned chicken tastes like absolutely nothing to me.

The thing is, they really aren't. Have you ever eaten an unseasoned piece of chicken? It's totally tasteless. Almost all the flavor comes from the spices, which means you could just as well put those spices on anything else and it will taste pretty much like chicken.

I've been saying that for years. So many fantastic FOSS applications are obviously made by engineers for engineers.

Can I ask you when you were born? Because I remember using the paper strips when I was really young and then at some point they dissapeared and got replaced by those plastic rings. I was born in 94.

Oh my god yes, that's exactly the one I had as a kid!

I remember me as a child recording my own radio shows, with me doing all the announcements, reading articles from magazines or just talking nonsense and then recording music from the radio for the music in between. Good times.
