Donald Trump’s smartphone has only been in reviewers’ hands for a few days, and it’s already coming apart at the seams.

According to Stephen Findeisen, a popular YouTuber who investigates online scams under the handle “Coffeezilla,” anyone who ordered the Donald Trump’s signature smartphone, the T1, is liable to have their personal information leaked to the world.

Essentially, Findeisen alleges that the Trump Mobile website contains a simple exploit allowing an entry-level hacker to both place fake pre-orders for the T1, as well as view the entire list of data from previous orders. The YouTuber was made aware by a friendly white-hat hacker, who was able to produce Findeisen’s name, order information, and mailing address, among other personal data.

LaRocque said the decision is baffling, citing concerns over rising electricity demand, massive water consumption and air pollution linked to AI data centres.

“Vancouver is in the middle of a housing crisis and water shortage,” he said. “These centres will use more heat and water — it seems counterintuitive to me.”

Only you, and the person you're talking to, hold the key. Not the app. Not the company. Not the government. You probably don't think about it. That's the whole point — it just works.

Until, possibly, the end of this summer. Every messaging app in Canada would be required to build a second key.

With Bill C-22, the government would hold the copy. The lock you trust would no longer be a lock only you can open. It would be a lock the locksmith was ordered to duplicate.

Tulsi Gabbard’s curious and confounding political odyssey may have reached its end. She has announced her resignation as Trump’s director of national intelligence, citing her husband’s medical struggles.

Her departure comes in the wake of months of reporting that Gabbard was being sidelined within the administration and that Trump was considering firing her.

She hung on for 15 months. In that time, she made a mockery of what she’d always presented as her core principles. It looks like it wasn’t enough to save her job.
