Yeah maybe, but if it's a close race (due to gerrymandering and insane voter suppression from Republicans), then those attributes of woman and minority may just be enough to cause the uninformed racists/misogynists to vote another Republican into office. We absolutely cannot have that no matter what. America needs to swing so hard to the left after this it'll make FDR look centrist.
